Joint stakeholders meeting held in Suva

In May 2025, Pacific Dermatology Ltd hosted a hybrid joint stakeholder meeting focused on understanding regional challenges and exploring potential solutions for skin health issues across the South Pacific. The event took place online and in person, with physical attendees gathering at the meeting hall of Maitaka House, Fiji Centre for Disease Control and others joining virtually.

The May 2025 meeting was the first meeting of its kind, bringing together so many stakeholders to skin health in the South Pacific with high engagement and meaningful contributions from participants. Representatives attended from several Pacific Island nations, including Fiji, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Kiribati, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea, along with delegates from Fiji National University, the Pacific Leprosy Foundation, the International League of Dermatological Societies and the World Health Organisation’s Neglected Tropical Disease Unit. The discussions offered valuable insights into the pressing challenges and practical solutions related to skin health, leaving all involved with a renewed sense of hope and commitment to improving dermatological care in the region.
